We shall begin to conduct audience research as soon as our rekkies are concluded and evaluated; audience research is very useful for determining what our target audience would be interested in, and what sort of directions we should follow so as to fulfill the brief best by suiting the audience.
After discussing it as a group, we have decided on some preliminary questions that we may or may not ask a focus group as part of our audience research.
Did you like the track and why?
What age range would you typically associate with this song and why?
What sort of locations do you see with this track/how many locations do you see?
What clothes/style do you picture with this track?
Picturing a narrative for this track, what sort of themes or concepts to you visualize?
Do you think it's important to include a performance in this video?
Listening to the lyrics and the singers 'grain' (or style) of voice, what sort of characters and personality traits would you envision as actors for this video?
These are great questions and I know you have got quite a few audience responses, all we need to do now is compile our answers. In an older post (labelled 'audience research') I have also added some possible questions to ask our potential audience, and have gained a few responses as well. I shall put up my responses very soon.
